  Step 1.Organizing the teaching

1.Greetings

2.Sing an English song.

Step 2. Revision:

1.Play “What’s wrong?” to review “snow” and “ice” and other vocabulary.

2.Play “Spell It” to review any vocabulary in this unit.

Step 3.Key concepts:

1.Introduce:     

a.Make the directions between weather adjectives the Ss know(rainy, sunny, windy), and the nouns (rain, wind ,sun). Draw four windows on the BB.Ask for volunteers to draw weather in the windows to match the sentences.

2.Student book:

a.Play the audiotape as the Ss follow in their books.

3.Practice: Teach the “The season song” in No.2 of the student book.

 T: (Point to the picture of snowy weather).How’s the weather? It is snowy.This issnow.Snow,say it please.

 S: Snow.

 T:Good!(Point to the picture of sunny weather) How’s the weather,class?

 S:It is sunny.

 T:Right!This is the sun.Say it please.

 S:The sun.

The same way with the other words.

         六.Students’ activity:

1.Sing an English song.

2.Daily dialogue.

3. “What’s wrong?” to review the vocabulary..

4.. Play “Spell It”.

  5.Imitate the dialogue of the lesson.

6.Teach the song “Winter”.
